Yeah, I use it on my gelding, who's very high strung. He loves it!

It does, if it works on my gelding, it's like a miracle! You'd have to meet him to know.  Shocked

OMG!!! I do it right before a show and Windsong calms down immediately. For any show gals out there, if not tried, you should. It really hlps you horse's performance. Also, I've tried the remadies. Let me tell you: they're tried and true. Excellent results with them! Arigomany, or something, helped me to calm down before a big championship show. Just a few drops under your tongue adn wah-lah! Trust me.

Never a doubt in the world,

Yeah, it is hard to explain. Best just to do it naturaaly in your own way and keep experienting till youfind positive effects. My horse did not understand what I was doing at first, but now we connect more and it is sooo worth trying!

works great on dogs and cats too, using a softer touch, start on shoulders doing little circles lightly. after gettting them used to the shoulders try other spots.

I did this on the cats and dogs before trying it on the horses. you can tell if they like it or where they like it best.

Neff...have you ever had someone massage the back of your neck? Small, gentle circles. Have someone try this on you and then you can try this on them. You'll figure out if the pressure is too hard or light.  Or try small circle massage on your own neck with one hand. You'll figure out what does/doesn't feel good.

In the books if I remember, they don't start on the head, but usually at the base of the neck or on the withers...then more up the neck, a little bit at a time.

you just have to try and experiment. Horses generally have a 'soft sppot' and act very differenently when you hit those places that make them tick . make it a rewarding and pleasureable experience, and keep sessions not too long.
