In fact, yup!

I have an English-American Dictionary!!!

Me and my cousin from Oregon used it alot when  she came over. I also have a horse one, which has a lot of horse-related words (like different headcollars and stuff) and what they are called in different  countries!! I'll share some words soon!

Heres a couple of words to get you started;

One from every letter of the Alphabet!

Apartment = Flat

Booth = Kiosk

Couch = Sofa

Diaper = Nappy

Eggplant = Aubergine

Fall = Autumn

Garbage = Rubbish

Hamburger Bun = Bap

Intermission = Interval

Janitor = Caretaker

Kerosene = Parrafin

Lima Bean = Broad Bean

Mail = Post

News Stand = News Agent

Overalls = Dungarees

Pacifier = Dummy

Recess = Lunch/Break

Sidewalk = Footpath/Pavement

Tic-tac-toe = Noughts and Crosses

Undershirt = Vest

Vacation = Holiday

With or without? = Black or white? (For tea/coffee)

Yard = Garden

Zucchini = Courgettes

My computer doesn't recognise loads of the English words

P.S. recognize = recognise I think

oh wow i didn't know there were so many

for some of those words we use both words such as:

Couch = Sofa (though you don't hear sofa as commonly as you do couch)

Mail = Post( though for us it wouldn't just be post it would be post office)

Fall = Autumn

and then some of your english words we use but in different context (i think context is the word i'm looking for) than the word you put before it such as:

Recess = Lunch/Break

Sidewalk = Footpath/Pavement

Yard = Garden

if you look at the numerous buttons above the box you type in you'll see a box that says change color if you highlight your words and then go up to that box and choose a color your text will appear in that color

Going back to the different US/UK words, there are hundreds of them. There are masses of words spelt just a little differently like center/centre, different words used for the same things and words that are spelt the same but pronounced differently.

Wow, that's amazing. I knew that you guys over in th UK used dfferet words, buti couldn't beleive how different some are and how alike others are. it's so cool. Plus the word for Apartment there realy surprised me, i mean Flat? That's really different, but different places do diferent things.

Oh and hows everyone doing? It's been so long. Oh and i'm going to try to write all weekend so that you guys can get another story soon. I think that you guys are probably annoyed with me right now for not writing. lol. But i've just been busy, busy busy. I hate being busy, it leaves me no time to have a lot of fun.   I write a little at a time every so often, but it just seems that everything i write sounds stupid to me. i'm haveing a bad case of writers block big time.lol. It'll clear soon hopefully.
