ok i couldnt vote between J K Rowling and Lauren Brooke, because at the mo im really into Harry Potter i can't get over that woman's imagination!!
you should definitely add cathy cassidy (british writer, lives in scotland) she is my fave author next to those two ^^^. <3

@ SpiritM: Yes, LM Montgomery wrote the Anne of Green Gables series, plus alot of other books. I've read some of them, but I didn't like them as much as Anne of Green Gables.

Yes...Anne sort of...grew up. And thenshe did more about Avonlea, right? Rainbo Valley and Chronicles and things..
