For all who can't watch it because they don't live in Canada I'm going to be posting a long summary about each episode so far: FIRST ONE!!!
Ty is doing community service for heartland. Amy's mom chose him because she had a good feeling about him. At the beginning it starts with the accident and Amy's mom dies. Then the horse (spartan) comes to heartland and Amy cures him with the join up. Apparently Amy has a boyfriend named Jess. She goes to a hot tub party with him and her best friend. In the show Jess gets drunk and is not being too nice to Amy. Amy says "I want to go home!" And Jess is all like "I'll take you home...drunk!" And she says "No!" Then Jess pushes Amy a few times. Ty ends up coming to the party too and sees this, so he starts beating up Jess. Amy stops them and starts walking home. (in the party Ashly is there hitting on Ty.)
On the walk home Ty drives by Amy and says something like "Sorry. I overreacted. I thought he was trying to hurt you." Amy ignores him and keeps walking. Finally she says "Got a heater in there?" And he says "Last time I checked." So he gives her a ride home. When Amy's grandpa sees Ty giving her a ride he sends Ty home. (at the beginning Ty says to Amy's grandpa "So what are the babes like out here?" and then her grandpa said to always keep 10 feet away from his granddaughter.) So Ty leaves and Amy gets all mad at her grandpa and says Ty should stay. SO he dose. Thats where it left off.
*deep breath* thats what I remember from it XD Ill keep you up to date with them. Theres a new one on Sunday. Please correct me if I get something wrong...even though I watched it I may mess up.

wow, weird and really unlike the books. Anyway, doesn't Amy's best friend have a boyfriend named Jess in the books later on? Sounds weird and way different, but i guess i would watch it possibly. But seriously, Ty would NEVER act like that. Thanks for giving us summeries though, it's really helpful.

Horses Rock! There isn't a life that's been lived without horses in it. P.S. I'm friends with everyone! My sig. is of Sundance, my foal that died October 17, 2007. Lets all remember him in our hearts.

It sounds like a teen drama. If it wasn't called Heartland and the characters had different names I'd probably really quite like it. But its not. Its meant to be Heartland and I am furious with whats been done with Ty's character. He's completely different and I don't know that I could bare to watch it if it was on in the UK because of that. Don't get me wrong, I realise there would be changes with it going from book to screen, but Ty is a major character and he's totally different in it. Small changes are ok, but Ty's character should not have been changed like this.
Soraya doesn't at any point date a guy called Jess. I think the only Jess in the books is the woman who buys Melody and Daybreak.

I watched it last night on youtube. It was oddly a lot like The OC. If it wasn't based on the Heartland books I'd really like it. I really don't like how they've changed Ty and Scott's characters so much. And the party? Parties like that had better not be a common thing, cause thats just typical teen drama. Also I don't really like the actress they have playing Amy.

It would suit anyone who.... didn't know the real Heartland.
Apart from a few thnigs, its not that linked to it really.
Almost like the producers used the ideas and changed them to suit lots of different audiences.
