If you go to the offical Heartland tv show website theres pics of the people playing the characters, the link is in one of the other threads. No idea if (or even when) it will air in the States, or anywhere else other than Canada for that matter!!

Things are way, way different in the show from the books!!
Books:
Lou has blonde hair
Amy has light brown hair
Ty has never smoked and started helping out at Heatland at 14 to get some extra money
TV Show:
Lou has very dark hair
Amy is blonde
Ty is starts working at Heartland at 17 (I think) as community service or something to avoid jail!!
Ashley Grant has a brother who Amy is dating at the start if the first ep (crazy!!)
Val Grant is interested in Jack
Theres a girl who's about 12 who hangs around all the time.
A load of surnames have been changed
There are masses more, but listing them all would take forever!

I know!!! I feel the same!!! Its horrible the way its been done!! I don't mind little changes, like hair color I could live with, but things like Ty's character? So wrong!!! I can't say more on this subject casue I just get more and more wound up about it!! And I would get kicked off the board if I were to use the language I would dearly love to to disscribe the way they have destroyed one of my most favourite series of books ever. Lol

LOL! same here i loved to use some language toooo!!!!!!! but....... i love ty's personality in the book that's y i said ty and amy should stay together not because of the looks

Exactly!! I adore Ty's character in the books, and his whole story, and they have taken one of the biggest characters away and given his name to some total opposite!

I'm just asking a question : We said that Amy on the books were just a painting but it might be a real person girl ! Like, she just stands there and there the painter redraw her.
If it's the case, why didn't the casting group took the girl of the books ? |
