There are just a few thing from this wonderful series that have always bugged me and i was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.
1.)Why does amy never get a car? How on earth does a bus go all the way out in the middle of the country to drop her off? And why is there a taxi service in her small town?
2.) How come they make it out to be as though Virginia Tech is in China? Nowdays we have these handy things called phones and email that make long distance conversation possible? So why can't Amy be kept up to date on stuff at heartland? And why doesn't she get a car so she can drive the two miles home once a month in stead of waiting for a long holiday and taking the train?
Feel free to ask any questions of your own!

I'm with you on both of those!! I've never understood why Amy hasn't learnt to drive. I didn't get it before she left for college but now she's gonna be a vet and she can't drive?! Crazy!! She'd be able to come home a lot more if she could drive.
Although, she is kept fairly up to date with horse stuff at Heartland according to A Winter's Gift. Like a phone call once a week or something, I think it says that somewhere in there. But I need to check to be sure.
3. Something that has bothered me for a while is what happened to Ty's brother? In one of the books (can't remember which off the top of my head but its before #13) Amy asks Ty about him. He is younger and his name is Lee. But when Ty is in a coma, there is no mention of him at all! Surely it should at least mention where he is? Apparently he was forgotten!

I haven't read a winter's gift yet so atleast that proublems solved. But i guess with Lee she didn't feel like making his presence all that notable. And Ty did say that he was kinda obsorbed into his video games and baseball, so maybe he just didn't care enough? Or just didn't want to deal with it?

Yeah maybe, but surely he would have been mentioned in passing? I mean Ty's dad didn't want to know but he was made in to a fairly big part from then on in, at least in comparison to before. I don't know, maybe you're right and she didn't want to bring him in to it, but I personally feel that he should have been mentioned, I don't like it if authors forget characters they've created, or make it look that way, even if the character has no breaing on the rest of the story.

I forgot Ty had a brother and I know what you mean EquinesAreLife why doesnt Amy get a car? Then she wouldnt have to rely on everyone all the time. Okay heres something that bugs me.
4.) Why do the horses sometimes change colour? I know Im nitpicking but in the first book Spindleberry is in he's bay and in all the others he's roan. Also in all the books Sundance is buckskin but in BTH hes palomino! Surely if I can remeber these things LB can.

Yes, thats something thats always bothered me too!! I mean come on, if you're gonna write a series of books and have the same horse in every book, surely you can remember the colour he is? Cause readers sure will!
And I don't care if it is nitpicking, I'm the same lol

I absoloutly agree.
I was totally shocked when Sundance was described as "Palomino" Ive always thought of him as the fiery Buckskin. Not the Fiery Palomino.

Okay,i once got asked "Yooh have horses , so are You ritch and posh"
Well if i was ritch i wouldnt be doing my own mucking out. And just because i have horses dosent mean im posh , it means im privileged to have them.
So as the advert saying goes Yooh dont have to be posh to be Privilaaged

Maybe in future books lauren will make I don't know amy drive a car. And it's not that big of a deal. Ty will always be there to drive her anyway. And who cares about how she doesn't keep up with heartland. Well, u no. Heartland is important, but the book needs to hane some king of tension, I mean come on!

Ok, thats your opinion, but as a 19 year old myself, it really does make a massive difference to be able to drive yourself everywhere!

I care that she doesnt keep up with Heartland lol shes got a lots of fans and is probably getting quite a bit of money for these books its the least she could do. Also what do you mean by tension? I dont see how her not driving causes tesnsion but it would save all the "can you pick me up/drop me" off conversations. Thats what I think anyway.

Yep, I'm with you Montana.
I don't mind you sharing your opinions Oakledgefarm, but can you please not say stuff like 'I mean come on' to those of us who have different opinions? We respect that not everyone thinks the same as us, can you please do the same for us? When you say stuff like that, its a bit disrespectful to us.

No, Iffoncia to0ld me the Polish version of ''Ty'' and I edited it,just to confuse you all.
Sorry !
I think it would be hard for Amy to keep up as much s she wanted to with stuff at Heatrland, because Amy likesto bethere ni the action, and a phone call once a week can't cut it with how fast things are moving.
Oakledgefarm, it may seem small, but some of us DO care so it feels real for them. Its not tha pathetic to be pondernig that.
Sundance- palomino ! I remember that... I got really confused- he was always said as a buckskin and its sorta part of his personality and attitude.
