A lot of the information on there is copyrighted. The book write-ups and covers were written by Scholastic. Even if they didn't officially register copyright on them, they're still covered according to the 1976 revision to the Copyright Act in the United States. If you don't get permission, you could get into legal trouble with them. As for the information from this site, I'll let you use it as long as you keep a link to the page on this site where you got it from. The template looks good, but you might want to do something with the background image, it takes a long time to load on dial-up connections. There's a german fansite at: http://www.freewebs.com/heartlandfan4ever/

Ok, I understand about this site (and i did mention this site because i knew some info i didn't know off hand) but the rest is fine. Thats what fansites are. Here is where I got my inspiration from http://www.freewebs.com/psthreeponiesranch/And I have seen others Phantom Stallion and Harry Potter sites where the author told us the fansite we could go to such as mugglenet.com But anyone can get that info from the books. It's not that hard and I don't think they care as long as you don't sell it. It's just for entertainment only and a lot of people have sites similar to mine. Copyright is basically when you sell something, and I am not selling my site...that would be stupid...it's just for entertainment purposes only for Heartland fans/readers like us. It also helps fanfiction (from the site: www.fanfiction.net) writers like me to have all this info in one place so we don't have to search through the books Yeah, I also don't understand German... I promise not to take anymore stuff from here without asking if you like. Bye!

It's pretty unlikely that Scholastic cares, but I thought I'd warn you just in case. If you want to read up on copyright law, the official US copyright office's site is www.copyright.gov. If you live in another country, the copyright laws would be different there. The biggest problem with starting a site is getting people to go to it. I've added your site to our link page. This site gets about 900-some visitors per month so some of them will find your site. Here's a thread on a forum about owning sites (and making money from them) with some tips on how to get traffic. (Some of it is a little technical though). And here's a simple guide to search engines. (Simple meaning about 35 pages) And I wish your site does well!

Okay,i once got asked "Yooh have horses , so are You ritch and posh"
Well if i was ritch i wouldnt be doing my own mucking out. And just because i have horses dosent mean im posh , it means im privileged to have them.
So as the advert saying goes Yooh dont have to be posh to be Privilaaged
