The Champion Part 9

They soon arrived at the stables where Bess once was. Chloe followed behind Sam, her mum next to her. The yard was silent, no one around. The routine must have changed since Hannah had left. There were a few stablehands sweeping the yard thats all. Sam led them to the Livery section. Going to a stable, which said Valentine on the door. Sam opened the door, inside was a beautiful Chestnut mare, with a white stripe running down her face, pink muzzle, socks and ginger mane and tail. Chloe smiled walking upto the mare, Sam putting a headcollar on. Chloe stroked her sleek, glossy neck.
"Valentine, is an allrounder" Said Sam giving her a pat letting her lick her strawberry flavoured lick, as they walked out quietly walking to the stable next door.
Chloe watched Sam go into the next stable, she stay by the down. Seeing a brown colt, with a star and socks playing with his haynet. Sam once again putting a headcollar on the colt.
"This is Chancer, a thoroughbred colt" Said Sam giving him a stroke, Chloe was confussed with why Sam was showing the mare and colt to her, still she walked slowly to the colt giving him a soft pat. Chloe looked round at her mum who was standing at the Colt's stable door.
"I dont understand why are showing me a mare and colt?" Asked Chloe confussed. Sam smiled looking over at her mum to say something. Her mum walked into the stable.
"Chloe their both yours to own now, you can move to Champion stables if you like, Bess will still love you and so will you still love her. Its time to move on Honey" Said her mum, Chloe gave her mum a hug.
"Thank you mum" Whispered Chloe.
Chloe was soon loading up Valentine and Chancer, ready to take them to Champion stables. Giving both a pat as she tied them up in the horsebox, jogging back down the ramp. The driver pulled the ramp up. Chloe walked over to her mum's car, with Sam there.
"Good Bye Chloe, wish you all the best in the future" Said Sam shaking Chloe's hand. Chloe nodded her head smiling, getting into the car.Waving good bye to the stables, as the left, the horse box following slowly behind.
An hour passed since the left the stables heading for Champion stables a whole new adventure ahead of Chloe. Her mum slowed the car down, Chloe shifted her head to the right looking out the front window. A beautiful golden gate said " Champion" on it, two red bricked walls both side of the gate, both saying "welcome to Champion Stables." The gates opened automatically, leading into a long drive. Tree's were on the right side of the drive up. On the left was abig front garden, to a red bricked house, which much have been the owner of the stable's house.White fencing ran along the front garden. Her mum decressed her speed as a sign came up saying, " 5MPH"
The house soon disappeared as they came into a woods, tree's shining in the sun light, standing tall and proud. Then they finally reached the capark.
