I decided to add an updated top ten list. It's not a true top ten from me, cause most my faves are adult series' but I figure I'm better off just putting YA stuff on here.

1. Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead
2. Noughts and Crosses series by Malorie Blackman, Going Too Far by Jennifer Echols and Heartland series' by Lauren Brooke
3. The Nature of Jade by Deb Caletti
4. The Earth, My Butt and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler (her other books are pretty great too)
5. Wild Roses by Deb Caletti
6. Georgia Nicolson series by Louise Rennison
7. Morganville Vampires series by Rachel Caine
8. Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong
9. Maximum Ride trilogy by James Patterson (there are actually 5 books now and more coming but I only like the first 3 lol)
10. Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling

After reading Twilight (lots of times, I'll admit Wink), I've just started the House Of Night series, which are really good. Smiley

Ish. House of Night series makes me want to tear my hair out. The first one was okay, not great, the 2nd and 3rd were a bit better, the 4th one not so good and the 5th one was ridiculous. Sorry, no offence to those that like it, but I find it to all be rubbish. The characterisation of most of the main characters is completely cliched and the language used is mostly very strange. The first 3 were a bit of fun, but past that, it just drags for me and I found myself wanting to tear it all apart because it was just the same things over and over. I reall doubt I'll bother finishing the series.

Sorry, rant over Wink

Oh, lol. A lot of people have. Then again, a lot of people read Twilight and say it's the most amazing series on the planet too. I'm gland not everyone likes the same stuff, but sometimes, I do wonder about how certain things can be liked. Twilight, to me is nothing more than okay, and it's barely that, but I can see why people fell for it. Mostly. WIth HON? Nope, don't get it at all.

I see what you mean.  And i do think Twilight was an amazing series, but Night World, City of Bones and I Am The Great Horse were maybe better- but i think it's in my top ten.
