What genre ?

Hey

I'd like to know what genre (type) of books do you like to read ? These can be : romance/relationships, mysteries and crimes, animals, sport etc.

Crime and urban fantasy are my faves. Both YA and adult urban fantasy actually. And a I read a fair bit of general teen fiction too. That said, they usually have to have some kind of romance theme in them too for me to keep enjoying a series. Nothing over the top or all consuming, but there none the less. I like characters to have personal lives lol. Gives them deeper dimentions I think. And usually ads a good sub-plot to the book or series too.

I like realistic or historic fiction. I like a little bit of romance, but not a whole book about it. I don't like fantasy, like Harry Potter much at all. I like adventure books, but more like realistic fiction adventure. I also like poetry. I pretty much hate non-fiction unless it really interests me. But I like historic FICTION, but only about certain kinds of history, I like WW 2, Holacost, earthquake, Titanic, basically disasters....not war or anything. Except the Civil War- that really interests me.
Mostly though, realistic fiction, real stuff that can happen.

I like lots of books.

But I don't really read anymore. I just don't have the time. And when I do, I wouldn't spend it reading. I probably haven't picked up an LB book for like a year.

ya im with paintgal - bring in the histories! lol personally, the older the better. i also action books - where things HAPPEN. lol i ususally dont like teen books - like 'the pretty one' for examplt - becasue not enough really happenes. i dont know, its just me. then again, i havent read alot of them, so ya.

and fantacy too. though i havent gotten around to teh harry potter books yet. odd, i know.
